A fantastic cruise of Vietnam's UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site of Halong Bay
2-day Halong Bay cruise
A fantastic cruise of Vietnam’s celebrated UNESCO World Natural Heritage site of Halong Bay including an overnight stay onboard a comfortable but traditional style wooden junk. (All cabins are air-con and en-suite.) You’ll visit the incredible limestone, karst scenery of the spectacular and famous Bay as well as the equally dramatic, but far less visited, Bai Tu Long Bay which lies immediately to the north of Halong in Bai Tu Long National Park.
Our 2-day programme, (see details below) starting and finishing in Hanoi, will show you the most famous isles, grottoes and vistas of Halong Bay along with some of the lesser-known sites for an unforgettable boat journey through some of Southeast Asia’s most awe-inspiring scenery aboard a luxury wooden craft.
This tour is already included on our Hanoi to Saigon and World Heritage Sites of Vietnam tours but is also suitable for any of our other Vietnam tours which either finish or begin in Vietnam’s capital city such as Vietnam, Mountains and Hilltribes, Unexplored; the Far North or even our Vietnam and Yunnan tours such as the Red River Valley Adventure, or South of the Clouds.
Note also that Hanoi’s International Airport is easily reached from most other regional destinations such as Bangkok, Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City), Vientiane or Phnom Penh.
With the area’s complex topography weather is correspondingly unpredictable but broadly speaking, the rainy season is May to September while cool months are December and January.
Our price is per person based on two people travelling (twin or double room) although the extension is also available for one person at a slightly increased cost of £190 while reductions – due to lower transport costs – are available for larger groups.
Finally, note that additional nights’ accommodation in Hanoi, prior to or after this Halong Bay Tour are available on request.
Here's an idea of what you can expect to do and see day-to-day.
