Chiang Mai Tour

Ancient temples, vibrant street markets and Doi Suthep National Park

A 4-day tour of some of the historic northern town's sights

Our 4-day, 3 night Chiang Mai tour will show you just a few of Thailand’s northern capital’s highlights from the picturesque, narrow lanes, ancient temples and lively street markets of the old town to a circumnavigation of nearby Doi Suthep National Park by scenic mountain roads.

Visits include the famous Queen Sirikit Botanical Gardens, Doi Suthep temple and a wander through the huge handicraft market at Ban Tawai. Apart from the famous sites, there’ll also be plenty of time to meet the locals, take in the City’s bustling street life and sample some of the local specialities on a guided street food tour of one of Chiang Mai’s bustling night markets. (Note that, in so far as this is booked as a private tour, precise itinerary details and destinations included are, of course, entirely flexible.)

This Chiang Mai tour extension or mini-tour is intended to complement our existing north Thailand, or Thailand and Laos itineraries, most of which either start or finish at Chiang Mai’s International Airport. Time restraints have meant we’ve had to limit the number of days spent in Chiang Mai on these tours so we’ve basically left it up to you and, if you can spare an extra few days to explore Thailand’s northern capital in more depth, then this mini-tour is strongly recommended.

Additional night’s accommodation in Chiang Mai, before or after your tour, are of course available on request and while our default hotel in town is the small, friendly, low-key, ’boutique-style’ Twenty Lodge we can offer alternatives to suit all budgets while, if you’ve chosen to book your own accommodation, we can, of course, arrange collections and drop-offs at any other hotel in town.

The price for a private tour is based on two people sharing (twin or double) while for a single traveller, the price is £560.
