Speciality Tours

Enquire about food tours, photography specials; or perhaps trips with an historical or wildlife bent....

Speciality tours, special interest tours – or even specialty as our trans-Atlantic cousins would call them – can be arranged to suit any interest (within reason), timeframe and group size for tours within the Southeast Asian geographical range.

Frequently requested speciality tours include; food itineraries, photography tours, bird-watching trips, historical tours, cycling or trekking expeditions as well as fund-raising and charity tours. Food tours for example can combine discovering – not only national but regional cuisines – including street food plus hands-on cookery classes, farm/orchard/plantation visits and even opportunities for guided foraging expeditions.

The emphasis on photography tours is in-depth local knowledge, rather than technical tutoring. Attempting to make sure you’re in the right place at the right time, as well as being able to include the lesser-known, less accessible sites has in our experience proved more valuable and more welcome than setting up staged photoshoots or lecturing you on F-stops.

Some more unusual examples of private tours have been a Cambodian local hospital tour for a group of Belgian doctors, a ‘coffee of Southeast Asia’ special, a hard-core, 5-day charity fund-raising trek through the jungles of the Cardamom Mountains and a photography shoot-off competition in Chiang Mai on behalf of Tourism Authority of Thailand so, given a bit of warning, we ought to be able to cover most requests.

Price-wise we would generally need to count 4 full paying adults for a private speciality tour. Smaller groups are no problem at all but you’d need to discuss details and pricing with our UK office while discounts are obviously available for larger group sizes.
