Sri Lanka Photography Tour

A 2-week photography special taking in spectacular landscapes and wildlife plus the famous UNESCO sites and the lesser-visited local markets

Following up on our existing itineraries to the fabulous island we’ll be offering a special, Sri Lanka photography tour from late 2019 onwards. With a fantastic array of destinations in a relatively small area, the country’s a paradise for photographers – either budding pros or complete beginners.

The tour will cover a wide variety of landscapes from the plantations and picturesque scenery of the hill country to the stunning coastline while providing numerous opportunities to photograph Sri Lanka’s surprisingly accessible wildlife.

There’s also plenty of variations, historically and culturally, with UNESCO World Heritage Sites including the ancient city of Polonnaruwa, cave temples of Dambulla and dramatic rock fortress of Sigiriya as well as the Portuguese, Dutch and British influence evident in Negombo, Galle, Kandy and Nuwara Eliya.  As with our existing photography tours, the emphasis will be on combining the famous sites and iconic scenes with plenty of street life and local markets.

As usual, the tour will be fully accompanied by one of our professional travel photographers and full details can be found at our corresponding ‘Images of Sri Lanka’ tour page with the first scheduled tours set for November 2019 and January 2020.
