Sunset over the Mekong, Luang Prabang

A selection of photographs from UNESCO World Heritage-listed Luang Prabang taken on our Northern Laos and the Golden Triangle tour

With its enticing and plentiful riverside cafes and excellent (and cheap) beer UNESCO World Heritage, Luang Prabang has to be one of the prime non-beach spots for sundowners in this part of the world so without for ado here’s a small selection of photos of sunset over the Mekong at Luang Prabang.

So without further to-do here are a few sunset over the Mekong shots we dug up – most of which we believe were taken by Wi – so cheers for the pix!

Ideally, if you can provision yourself with, say some fried Mekong weed and chilli dip or perhaps deep-fried bamboo worms, spring rolls, sun-dried beef (we’ll forget the sun-dried squirrel) or at worst a few nuts then you’d be pretty sorted for an hour or so of paradise!
