A selection of photos from our Cambodia Overland tour or at least the Cambodia section of various tours since Dan and Sara, having signed up for the Indochina Adventure, had already travelled through Northern Thailand and Laos for a couple of weeks and Yvette was doing Cambodia as part of a Saigon to Phnom Penh Overland tour. First pic then is from Phnom Penh’s riverside Titanic Restaurant as we waited for Yvette to arrive on the boat from Chau Doc and where the tour-leader made a gallant sacrifice and had a lunchtime Angkor Beer so that Marina didn’t have to drink alone!

Since the boat was pretty late our walking tour of Phnom Penh turned into a slightly chaotic tuk-tuk tour of Cambodia’s bustling capital.

And a colourful pic of fruit at Phsa Chas, (‘Old Market’), taken shortly before we had to get out and walk anyway since the tuk-tuk had a puncture.

And now a couple of the obligatory spider photos from Skuon…..

Helen and Yvette checking out Martin’s lunch in Skuon, whilst Sara tries to get as far away as possible. (Martin didn’t realise you had to fry them first.)

And a group photo from Banteay Srei Dom Dek Temple which does look like it might be an album cover from a dodgy 70’s folk-rock band? Wasn’t posed – honest!

Another iconic Cambodian holiday photo is the classic pig on a motorbike shot.

..or how about a Buddha on a truck?

Next up sees Sara and Helen attempting to loot a priceless lintel at Beng Melea Temple though since it was clearly to fund their next All Points East holiday we let them carry on.

Moving on to the Siem Reap to Battambang boat trip up the Sangkar River here’s photographer Martin in action and wishing the damn birds would sit still for a moment.

Below a floating Vietnamese ‘coffee shop’, (more like rocket fuel), at Prek Toal Village.

And no ‘Photos from our Cambodia Overland tour’ post would be complete without a good old Bamboo Train pic!

A return journey to Phnom Penh via the scenic riverside town of Kompong Chhnang completed the trip. Thanks to all for the additional photos and for being such a fun group.

Cheers!
