Just received some excellent Cambodia overland – photos from Gerry who participated in our recent Vietnam and Cambodia tour so, though there are way too many good ones to post here, (he claims to have taken over 3,000 photos in 2 weeks!), we’d like to stick up a few for your perusal! (Gerry’s captions, our comments.)
Classic Cambodian shot – 4 on a bike doesn’t quite do it with 5 being the shot everyone’s after. Not so easy though as you’re invariably shooting from a moving tuk-tuk or minibus! Yes, of course, it’s highly dangerous and not recommended but we doubt if they can afford a Volvo estate. (Could buy a few more helmets though!?)
Another cracking motorbike shot taken in Bangkok’s Khao San Rd we reckon. Love the colour co-ordination and no – the dog didn’t have a helmet either.
Battambang’s famous ‘bamboo train’. Mark appearing slightly nervous – ‘Nah never!’, but a very relaxed looking driver. (Actually, as you’ll notice all these shots involve transport of some kind!)
12-year-old, (or thereabouts?), in charge of a boat at Prek Toal floating village on route from Siem Reap to Battambang.
And another boat pic – a floating greengrocer, also in the village of Prek Toal. Thanks for the great Cambodia Overland tour photos Gerry and glad you enjoyed the trip!
